Anyone else been robbed tonight?
I just got robbed and hour and a half ago. I work overnight front desk at a hotel. The guy came in jumped over the counter, grabbed my hair, and demanded i open the cash register. Then he took the money and ushered me into the laundry room bathroom. He closed the door and then he left. The whole time i thought it was someone screwing with me. It didn’t hit me until I came out of the bathroom and no one was there. Now I feel dumb cause the cause was smaller than me and i could have taken him. I know i did the smart thing by just doing what he told me, but i don’t think i would have had it really hit me from the beginning. Now i am still at work and it sucks. There is no way i am doing any work tonight. No mopping, no laundry, no cleaning, no nothing. Just some good ol yahoo answers to take my mind off of what just happened. I am still kind of in shock. Anyone else have any similar experiences to talk about?
yeah i called the police and my manager right after it happened. i had to fill out paperwork and give a description. also the reason i am not at home with my family is cause my shift isn’t over. my manager is a woman, and she was distressed when she came in. It was the first time this place has been robbed. I didn’t want her to have to stay herself when clearly she was more distressed than i was.

suckkssss man i would of been so mad, and to answer your question, no i have not been robbed. on the other hand i think i did some robbing myself, still gotta check with my secretary tho.

I had someone rob me at an overnight job once. He had a handgun in his pants and his shirt open where I could see it. There were two guys together in on the situations. They didn’t even have to point the gun at me. I did as I was asked and didn’t make any waves. At first, it didn’t hit me what had just happened. About a week later, I was talking to my mother about it and for some reason (I really don’t know why), I broke down crying. I hope you deal with the situation and can keep your job. I managed to stay at work and not quit, but it never was the same after that.

It’s better to be safe than sorry. Maybe you could have taken this guy out but what if his friend stepped in during your fight? People will kill for less reasons. It’s only a job and not worth getting injured or killed over the incident. Think about that fact. My sister was working at the drive in theater and she got robbed and she refused to give up any money and the robber took off. The police said she did the wrong thing. I too felt the same thoughts. Be happy no body was hurt in this robbery. I would be so take care and just think of it as life’s experience. What else can you do anyway. Oh, I did catch 2 guys in my car stealing my radio. I opened the drivers door grabbed the guy by the collar and lifted him out of the car holding him up in the air. I was big and he was small of course for me to do this act. He was so scared. He was just a teenager. I gave him the opportunity to call his family but he made phony phone calls so I finally turned him over to the police.
Somebody attempted to steal my friends car last night.
I get robbed every night when I switch on my television and there isn’t a thing worth watching on any of some 200 channels and my Sky subscription is costing me a bloody fortune.
And then when and if by a miracle there is something to watch I get plagued by interminable bloody adverts.
i hope the robber falls down a flight of stairs and breaks his thieving neck. are you ok..my car got robbed last week..but i didn’t suffer any violence to myself…the scumbag..let him have all he deserved….hope you are ok
